Herbajules, developed through extensive scientific research where natural compounds extracted from plants, also known as phytochemicals for their health promoting-values, are CCM Berhad’s latest herbal innovative products for promoting overall well being which are manufactured by its subsidiary, CCM Duopharma Biotech Berhad.

Herbajules new range of products combines 5,000 years of health secrets and cutting edge technology that offers a holistic approach to achieve and maintain optimum health. Herbajules products aredeveloped using pelletization technology for maximum absorption and  efficacy of the natural compounds or extracts from herbs.

In this technology, crude herbal extracts are first deposited on inert spherical beads, which are further individually coated with a finishing coat. This helps to prevent the interaction between the extracts from different plants and keeping them separate until the protective coat is dissolved in the body, delivering the pure and effective compound unaltered. The pellets are then dried, mixed and offered in varying colours which are visible from the clear, transparent vegetable capsules. This distinguishes one extract from another, improves its aesthetics and is better accepted by consumers. The coating as well as spherical beads ensures that the individual ingredients do not come in contact of each other during their storage until their actual use by patients.

The coating is formulated with such ingredients which dissolve in the stomach, thus maintaining the beneficial medicinal properties of herbal plants in the original intended form as if it is made fresh and delivered at the same time of administration itself. The coating and colouring used are made for plant based natural compounds. 

According to CCM Berhad Group Managing Director, Dato’ Dr Mohd Hashim Tajudin, Herbajules’ pellet formulation offers several advantages enabling better handling and storage while facilitating a viable and economical production process. The spherical shape of Herbajules also enables the pellets to flow freely and pack uniformly into the capsules. The pellets also increase the absorption of the phytochemicals in the body as they increase the surface area and make the herbs more bioavailable when compared to the common dosage forms namely tablets and non palletized capsules.

Herbajules will be sold at a retail price of between RM28.80 and RM48.80 for pack size of 60 capsules except for Vigorex that will be in 30’s pack. Products will be available in selected clinics and please ask your physician for further information. All products will be available at leading pharmacies and selected Chinese medical halls nationwide by the middle of this year.
