CCM Duopharma defers RM20 million in Capex and pushes ahead with first human vaccine fill & finish facility in Malaysia
19 Mar 2009

CCM Duopharma Biotech Berhad (CCM Duopharma) will defer RM20 million in expenditure of approved capex of RM75 million for 2008-2010 (as announced on 27 May 2008) by rescheduling the construction of its new office block and execution of Phase 3 of the Haemodialysis and Irrigation capacity expansion initiative.

The company will proceed with a RM7 million upgrade and remodeling of its small volume injectables (SVI) plant and equip it with an inert human vaccines fill and finish facility  –  the first in Malaysia.

The investment in the SVI plant enhances the GMP compliance and expansion into new product lines.  We are able to launch the capability at very minimal additional expenditure as the existing infrastructure is adequate for us to enter this niche and high value human vaccines market.

The Company will move ahead to accelerate the construction of a new warehouse complete with other ancillaries at a cost of RM25 million which is in line with the expanded business.
