Dato' Dr Mohd Hashim Ahmad Tajudin holds a PHD in Soil Fertility and Management from Universiti Putra Malaysia and has also attended Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, France and the Harvard Premier Business Management Programme.

Dato' Dr Mohd Hashim is currently the Group Managing Director of Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad. Prior to his stint in CCM, he was a Senior Director in Oils and Fats Division of Golden Hope Plantations Berhad. He held several other positions during his 26 year career stint in Golden Hope. He was a Director in the Research and Development Division from 1998 to 2003 and Executive Director of Golden Hope Research Sdn Bhd and Golden Hope Agrotech Consultancy Sdn Bhd.

Dato' Dr Mohd Hashim is a member of several professional bodies and societies and is also involved in the Professional and Technical bodies of several Malaysian organisations such as Adjunct Professor of the Agricultural Faculty, University Putra Malaysia, Council member of MARDI Science Council, MPOB Programme Advisory Committee member among others and currently the Chairman of Planters Editorial Committee for the Incorporated Society of Planters, a member of the strategic R&D Directorate of the National Biotechnology Council, Council Member of Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers and as Committee Member of Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Cluster Working Group (CWG) to Jawatankuasa Penasihat Pensyarikatan Bumiputera (JPPB), Implementation Coordination Unit, Jabatan Perdana Menteri.

Apart from that, as a scientist, he has published more than 60 technical papers.
